World’s first 4G/LTE Network goes live!

As the first operator in the world, TeliaSonera launched 4G services to customers in Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway at the end of 2009. TeliaSonera’s current 4G networks cover the central city areas of Stockholm and Oslo.

The 4G network roll-out will continue to Sweden’s 25 largest municipalities and recreation areas and to Norway’s four largest municipalities to offer communication services for the future. 4G is the fastest mobile technology available on the market, with speeds up to ten times higher than today’s turbo 3G.

4G/LTE will open up new possibilities for customers to use and enjoy services on their laptops, requiring high transmission speed and capacity, such as advanced web TV broadcasting, extensive online gaming and web conferences.

As usual SPINNER is in process and we have delivered products from our wideband portfolio of diplexers, splitters and tappers etc. to certain in-building installations part of this network. 

SPINNER wideband filter combiners allow the multiple use of existing antenna systems for the new 4G/LTE services. That helps save investment costs and makes it possible to quickly set up the network. A precondition for employing this technology is the availability of components with excellent technical properties.

The SPINNER filter combiners meet all requirements and stand out for their especially low attenuation loss and maximum isolation of interference signals.
