Splitters & Tappers

Ensuring reliable mobile connectivity in large building complexes such as office buildings, shopping malls, stadiums, and airports is becoming increasingly important. Multiple network operators and frequencies must be combined, distributed, and transmitted within buildings using suitable antennas.

SPINNER Splitters & Tappers

To facilitate the distribution of aggregated signals, we offer high-quality products from our portfolio of splitters, tappers, and antennas. Additionally, you can order CPR cables and jumpers directly from us for your projects.

A wide range of requirements must be met for effective signal distribution. The involved communication standards and systems can range from TETRA, GSM, UMTS, PCS/AWS, and LTE to seamless Wi-Fi coverage. Depending on local conditions, various components may need to be implemented to branch signals from the main transmission line to the antennas.

Whenever multiple frequencies are transmitted over a shared cable, there is a risk of passive intermodulation (PIM). The main drawbacks of PIM include significantly higher installation and/or maintenance costs to resolve transmission issues, as well as reduced bandwidth utilization, leading to a less optimal return on investment.

SPINNER mitigates these challenges by developing high-quality, low-intermodulation components.

Connection Types

The following products, some of which support very large bandwidths, are available for signal distribution:

  • Symmetric Splitters (Power Splitters): Divide an incoming signal into multiple equal parts.
  • Asymmetric Splitters (Tappers): Split an incoming signal into uneven portions based on fixed ratios.
  • Directional Couplers: Allow an incoming signal to be split into two equal or unequal parts while maintaining excellent isolation. A directional coupler can also be used in reverse to combine two incoming signals, even if they operate at different frequencies (in this case, it is referred to as a hybrid coupler)

Products and Solutions for DAS

Symmetrical Splitters

Symmetrical splitters/Power splitters distribute the signals evenly to all outputs.

Asymmetrical Splitters (Tappers)

Asymmetrical splitters distribute the signals unevenly.

Antennas

Antennas at the end of the distribution system transmit the signal.

Jumpers and Cables

Our ready-made cable assemblies connect components in the distributed antenna system (DAS). We also offer cables without connectors for on-site assembly to meet the given requirements.
