Climate Strategy of SPINNER GmbH

Today, companies are also measured by how they manage the impact of their business activities on the environment and resources. The SPINNER GmbH recognized this at an early stage and addressed the many challenges associated with acting responsibly in this regard.

Thanks to its certified management system for environmental, energy, and quality management, SPINNER GmbH ensures that all relevant environmental, legal, and social requirements are systematically considered and aligned with the company’s strategy. Programs to meet these requirements are continuously updated and assessed for their effectiveness.

With our Code of Conduct, we not only enter into a wide range of obligations ourselves, but also demand them from our suppliers.

Expression of our commitment to environmental and climate protection is also our participation in the Environmental and Climate Pact of Bavaria (Umwelt- und Klimapakt Bayern) as well as our participation in the Corporate Network Climate Protection (Unternehmensnetzwerk Klimaschutz).

Furthermore, SPINNER GmbH has committed itself to climate protection targets:

  • We will increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions to the extent that they are in line with the 1.5°C target of the Paris Climate Agreement and the goals of the Science-Based Targets Initiative. Central to this is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our reduction targets by 2030 are:

    – Scope 1 and 2: 4.2% per year on average
    – Scope 3: 2.5% per year on average

  • We make a further contribution to climate protection through our own climate-friendly energy generation and by proactively promoting climate-friendly awareness in the internal and external environment.

These goals are implemented and monitored as part of a climate roadmap with concrete measures.

The long-term goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050 and, in a further step, to achieve complete climate neutrality for SPINNER GmbH.
