SPINNER Supports IO-Link

SPINNER has been developing and supplying capacitive, contactless rotary joints for industrial applications for almost 10 years. These are used in plant and machinery when transferring data from a stationary structure to a rotating body.

To supplement our range, we can now offer you a new 2-channel transmitter for the very popular IO-Link protocol.

This bearing-free, and thus maintenance-free, rotary joint has a free internal diameter of 140 mm and enables on the one hand a safe IO-Link transmission of two IO-Link channels and on the other hand contactless energy transmission of up to 50W @ 24 VDC to provide the power supply for the connected sensors.

he most important specifications summarised

  • Large 140 mm free internal passage (scalable to other diameters)
  • Suitable for high rotational speeds
  • Ingress protection code IP64
  • Simple integration
    • Bearing-free system
    • High tolerance for clearances, 1 – 3 mm
    • Insensitive to minor misalignments
  • 2 channel IO-Link with up to 230 kbit/s each
  • Core technology suitable for data rates of up to 848 kBit/s (e.g. RS232, CAN, sensors)
  • Integrated contactless power transmission for up to 50W @ 24 VDC
