2.2-5 is based on the design of 4.3-10 while only being half the size. When 4.3-10 appeared a few years ago, it was the first connector system ever developed specifically for the mobile communications. It was robust, boasted excellent electric properties, and rapidly evolved into a new standard for the market.
Now this tried-and-tested design has been taken to the next level to create the 2.2-5 connector system, the first miniaturized version of 4.3-10, which is already being successfully used in an antenna series made by Kathrein.
1) 2.2-5 was submitted in 2017 to DKE (the German standards organization for electrical engineering, electronics and IT) to get it standardized by the IEC.
SPINNER will offer the 2.2-5 connector system for the Seriflex 086, 141 and 250 braided cables and the SF1/4″, SF3/8″ and SF1/2″ corrugated copper tube cables.
