Connecting Components

Coaxial Connectors & Adapters

SPINNER has a long tradition of manufacturing high quality connectors and adapters. The first carrier-grade 6-16 (60 Ω) connector was invented by Dr Georg Spinner in 1949.

It served as the basis for the development of the 7-16 (50 Ω) version, which is now the most widely used connector system in the mobile phone market. SPINNER connectors have excellent electrical and mechanical properties.

4.3-10 Connectors

Chas set standards in mobile communications. For example, SPINNER invented the best-selling 7-16 connector system to date and also played a key role in the development of the new 4.3-10 standard.

Whether 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G networks – SPINNER connectors are successfully used in all types of mobile networks worldwide and contribute to a first-class connection between the network components. They are very easy to assemble and reduce the customer’s operating costs in the long term.

NEX10® Connectors

The miniaturisation of connector systems continues. Higher frequencies and more compact devices require ever smaller connector systems.

NEX10® is a connector systems that has been launched to meet these challenges.

Cluster Connectors

The SPINNER Cluster Connector is a modular solution designed to simplify the increasing complexity of mobile communication infrastructure.

As technologies like AI, IoT, and autonomous vehicles drive demand, networks must support diverse interfaces. The Cluster Connector combines multiple connection types—RF, DC, AISG, and fiber optics—into one compact unit, streamlining installation and ensuring flexibility for evolving requirements.

Coaxial Adapters

SPINNER manufactures a wide range of adaptors classified in two main categories:

  • Inter-type adapters are used to link up one connector type to another while
  • Within-type adapters are used to connect two connectors of the same type.

Our standard adapters offer a cost effective and reliable interconnection and are available with the most common interfaces. Our adapters are designed for the lowest possible reflection factors and best Passive Intermodulation (PIM) performance.

EasyDock Push-Pull Adapters

For fast and reliable connections, especially in production environments, our EasyDock push-pull adapters provide exceptional mechanical stability for frequent mating and unmating—eliminating the need for time-consuming torque wrench tightening.

SPINNER EasyDock Push-Pull Adapters

These adapters enable quick and effortless connections by simply retracting the coupling nut, attaching the adapter to the corresponding connector, and releasing the nut. Our technology is fully compatible with all standard sockets of the respective connector series. The use of high-quality materials ensures precise connections and maximizes the adapter’s lifespan.

When the connector system of a vector network analyzer (VNA) does not match the device under test, precision adapters are essential. SPINNER offers adapters with RF quality grade 0 for high-precision laboratory measurements. These adapters feature premium base materials and coatings to ensure maximum measurement accuracy, repeatability, and durability. Additionally, both single-ended and double-ended rugged test adapters are available.
