4.3-10 Connector System
Having invented the 7-16 and 4.1-9.5 connector systems, we are also proud to have been part of the team that developed the 4.3-10 standard.
The 4.3-10 connector system was designed to meet the latest requirements in mobile communication in terms of size, robustness, performance, and other parameters. Its small footprint supports the use of smaller components, mitigates risks if equipment is assembled without due care, and delivers outstanding electrical performance.
SPINNER is Committed to 4.3-10
As one of the inventors of 4.3-10, SPINNER has already added new versions of most of its products in order to offer this system ourselves. Connectors, adaptors, jumpers, etc. are now available with 4.3-10.
As far back as early 2015, SPINNER equipped the world’s first in-building DAS project with end-to-end 4.3-10 products. And we will continue to launch more 4.3-10 products to shape the future of mobile networks.
4.3-10 is not Necessarily Low PIM
Many companies claim and believe that PIM problems will be solved by introducing 4.3-10. Is this a myth, a hope or reality?
In theory at least, 4.3-10 is an excellent and robust interface design that exhibits superb PIM values. In practice, however, whether or not a product supports low PIM depends on many factors that can include interface design, implementation, materials, manufacture, and the connected components. In this marketing-dominated world, 4.3-10 is being proclaimed as low-PIM. Unfortunately, our own experience and that of our customers is different.
4.3-10 is not inherently low PIM, but if the other components are chosen well, it can definitely help to reduce a final product’s PIM.
Especially during the market launch of 4.3-10, we have seen and heard many claims but also experienced 4.3-10 products that do not deliver low PIM. At SPINNER, our commitment is to keep providing low PIM products, and over time 4.3-10 connectors will make a growing contribution to this.
The Best Connector System on the Market
Its compact design compared to conventional connector systems and low coupling torque make it an excellent choice for mobile communication systems.
In older connector systems used for mobile communication applications, the electrical and mechanical reference planes are identical. The 4.3-10 standard separates them, significantly reducing the required coupling torque and ensuring more reliable contact. This separation also makes the system less prone to errors.
In addition to the screw version (installed with tools), hand-screw and push-pull versions are also available.
