Experience Reliable Connectivity Like Never Before!

One of the great challenges in the development of new communication technologies like 6G in the sub-millimeter section such as the D-band frequency range is the flawless and reliable electrical interconnection technology.

Until recently, narrowband rectangular waveguide components were the only option available. Then, the coaxial 0.8 mm connector system (IEC 61169-64) emerged as a standardized solution, eliminating the need for costly plumbing and providing improved bandwidth and measurement capabilities. However, SPINNER goes a step further.

Introducing our revolutionary 0.8 mm coaxial connector system with strengthened outer conductor, offering unmatched precision and performance up to 167 GHz. Our advanced design features a durable 0.8 mm interface that ensures damage-free repeated connections while delivering superior electrical characteristics for maximum measurement accuracy.

SPINNER 0.8 mm Coaxial Connectors

Compared to standard 0.8 mm connectors, our connectors are highly reliable over extended use, maintaining quality, efficiency and full compatibility.

Our state-of-the-art technology features exceptional flexibility and is suitable for measurement applications in all industries. Our system is one of the most versatile options available, providing high-frequency measurement capabilities up to 167 GHz. For unparalleled precision and performance, choose SPINNER’s advanced “strengthened 0.8 mm coaxial connector system“.

1.0 mm Coaxial Connector − Measurements Up to 120 GHz!

SPINNER’s 1.0 mm high precision coaxial calibration kit, connectors, and adapters are engineered for a frequency range from DC up to 120 GHz and offer excellent performance.

These products are essential for any RF laboratory and are often used in vector network analysis (VNA) and millimeter wave measurements. The 1.0 mm coaxial connectors, also known as type W connectors, are essential for RF engineers making measurements up to 120 GHz.

In fact, they are must-haves for engineers who perform measurements in the range up to 120 GHz. It provides measurement accuracy, versatility and ease of use for coaxial measurements, microwave communication systems, defense and aerospace applications, where precise and accurate signal transmission is critical.

However, their conventional design suffers from a problem: the pitch is too coarse, i.e. the axial distance between the thread walls is too great.

The nut that mates with a 1.0 mm connector loosens practically from being looked at. Calibration problems are therefore literally built-in, often making it necessary to repeat entire test series. Besides the unnecessary extra costs this incurs, it’s a major source of frustration.

Achieving Reproducible Test Results from the Start

SPINNER provides multiple solutions to address the common issue of 1.0 mm coaxial connectors loosening over time.

Hence, we offer a comprehensive range of adapters to ensure optimal mechanical connections across various frequency ranges. SPINNER provides adapters from 1.0 mm to 1.85 mm for measurements up to 70 GHz on a 110/120 GHz VNA, as well as adapters for the 1.35 mm E-connector. Our ruggedized test port adapters for the 1.0 mm interface are particularly recommended for achieving reliable and stable connections.

Secured by a Ruggedized Test Port Adapter

For laboratories that rely on 1.0 mm connectors, we offer various ruggedized test port adapter specifically designed for one-millimeter coax connections.

These adapters use a larger thread to achieve a secure mechanical lock, effectively blocking unintended transverse or torsional forces that could damage the delicate 1.0 mm coaxial connection. As a result, once a test setup is assembled and calibrated, it can be consistently relied upon to perform as intended.

1.35 mm - E Connector

The Robust Precision Interface for DC to 90 GHz

As the market for millimeter wave sensors for self-driving vehicles expands, the demand for proper RF connections in testing environments is also growing. Reliable coaxial interface connections are crucial for achieving good RF performance, especially in E-band applications.

A common frustration in RF laboratories is unwanted unlocking of the 1.00 mm coaxial thread performing time-consuming calibrations. This spawned the idea of a 1.35 mm connector the “E Connector” with a precise metric thread like the 1.85 mm connector plus an integrated time-saving push-pull capability.

SPINNER EasySnake

SPINNER EasySnake performs the function of a flexible dielectric waveguide. However, classic waveguides are typically rigid, which places considerable constraints on the design of test configurations. The SPINNER EasySnake overcomes this by combining the flexibility of a conventional RF test cable with the excellent low-loss transmission characteristics of a conventional waveguide system. It can be flexibly bent and moved in any direction while delivering excellent measurement results.
