The SPINNER team
Today, companies are also measured by how they manage the impact of their business activities on the environment and resources. The SPINNER GmbH recognized this at an early stage and addressed the many challenges associated with acting responsibly in this regard.
The certified management system for the areas of environment, energy and quality at the SPINNER GmbH ensures that environmentally relevant, legal and social requirements are systematically considered and are in harmony with the corporate strategy. Corresponding programs for compliance with these requirements are continuously adapted and evaluated with regard to their effectiveness.
With our Code of Conduct, we not only enter into a wide range of obligations ourselves, but also demand them from our suppliers.
Expression of our commitment to environmental and climate protection is also our participation in the Environmental and Climate Pact of Bavaria (Umwelt- und Klimapakt Bayern) as well as our participation in the Corporate Network Climate Protection (Unternehmensnetzwerk Klimaschutz).
Furthermore, SPINNER GmbH has committed itself to climate protection targets:
- Scope 1 and 2: 4.2% per year on average- Scope 3: 2.5% per year on average
These goals are implemented and monitored as part of a climate roadmap with concrete measures.
The long-term goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050 and, in a further step, to achieve complete climate neutrality for SPINNER GmbH.
This unique private museum devoted to the history of the vacuum tube is only rarely opened to the public. It grew out of a collection amassed by Dr. Georg Spinner, the engineer who founded SPINNER GmbH, which has specialized in radio frequency equipment.
Spanning about 200 square meters, it contains hundreds of legacy amplifier and oscillator tubes that were once used for a wide range of applications in electrical, communications and medical technology.
The SPINNER vacuum tube museum contains hundreds of amplifier and oscillator tubes
The exhibits range in size from tiny tubes just a few millimeters across for radio receivers all the way to huge transmission tubes over a meter long. The highlight of the collection is a 2.7-meter-long oscillator-type gyrotron tube for heating plasmas in nuclear fusion research experiments; it was capable of outputting over 0.6 MW (600,000 watts) at 140 GHz (140 000 000 000 Hertz).
In return for a small donation to a charitable cause, visitors can acquire a lovely, lavishly illustrated 200-page book in which Dr. Spinner recounts the history of the vacuum tube (German only).

Your SPINNER GmbH
SPINNER Hungária Kft. was founded in southern Hungary in 1997. Our large manufacturing facility there (with about 4000 sqm of floor space) makes both discrete components for coaxial connectors and entire assemblies. State-of-the-art production and testing processes ensure consistently high quality and fast delivery.
Our Hungarian plant produces and assembles many of the highly precise, market-leading products for which SPINNER is so well known. Leading-edge CNC lathes enable the production of everything from simple components all the way to complex turnkey solutions, and our well-trained, experienced staff quickly assemble units while consistently ensuring top quality.
We are proud to have one of Hungary’s most advanced electroplating systems. It is capable of applying nearly all required platings to parts for coaxial connectors. They include silver, nickel, tin, copper as well as MIRALLOY® alloy coatings of copper, tin and zinc.
We ensure our high standards of quality by keeping our DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification up to date. In addition, we have implemented a certified DIN EN ISO 14001:2015-compliant environmental management system and an energy management system that conforms to DIN EN ISO 50001:2018.
Our wide-ranging portfolio is based on our many years of experience and extensive expertise. At our site in Feldkirchen-Westerham south of Munich, we develop, produce and assemble both discrete components and complete modules using a variety of technologies. Prominent customers of ours in broadcasting and mobile communications, aerospace, research, industrial engineering, and measurement and testing appreciate their high quality.
We have appropriate CNC machining centers for meeting all of our customers’ requirements. They include long- and short-axis lathes for complex workpieces, six-spindle lathes, and combined turning and milling machines. Modern three- and five-axis CNC milling machines deliver excellent quality in small to medium series. The programs for the CNC machining centers are directly derived from 3D models to ensure flawless results. Produced parts are automatically and very precisely measured in a dedicated climate-controlled measurement room. Where surface treatments are concerned, our core competencies are applying electrically conducting coatings to aluminum, copper alloys and various types of steel.
We produce our modules using all common partial and complete assembly techniques. From one-off pieces to series production, and from miniature products all the way to cleanroom assembly: our products are always characterized by absolute precision and meet the most demanding requirements. We back up our quality commitment with cutting-edge measurement and testing equipment and methods, including RF-based testing.
